Internal Sales Manager
Cardiff, free parking available
Competitive basic salary circa £30 – 35k per annum
Permanent, Full time, Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours

Our client are a large manufacturing facility offering a niche product on a commercial b2b basis.

With ambitious growth plans, they are currently recruiting for a new Internal Sales Manager who will be fundamental to the progression of the business.

Role and Responsibilities:
• Managing a small team of sales professionals
• To effectively manage day to day activities of the Internal Sales department; from initial data
capture, compiling customer quotations, processing the sales order, delivery and after sales
• To ensure a high level of customer service is being consistently delivered by the internal sales
• To ensure that sales pipeline remains full with qualified leads and prospects
• To monitor internal sales productivity and motivate the team to reach daily targets;
implementing and monitoring progress against targets
• To coordinate department activities and projects to meet project timelines
• To evaluate, suggest and improve the internal sales administration process
• To resolve interpersonal issues within department and escalate if required
• Ensure accurate and complete information is captured in customer relationship management
(ERP) system.
• To manage performance, salary reviews and develop employee development plans
• To schedule and lead departmental team meetings
• To prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts for the sales department and
management team.
• To liaise with other internal departments to ensure efficiency levels are maintained.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
• Experience of at least 3 years as an Internal Sales Manager
• Proven track record of effectively managing a team
• Ability to work with little or no supervision
• Must possess good organisational leadership skills
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic
• Excellent communicator, both written and oral
• Ability to develop good working relationships internally and with customers
• Possess excellent decision-making skills
• Ability to multi task and meet deadlines
• Good attention to detail
