OVERVIEW:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated project manager to deliver a Welsh Government funded digital health ecosystem which will accelerate the adoption of digital innovations across health and care to improve patient and population outcomes and experience, and support a sustainable future. This is an externally funded project which will be delivered in partnership with the Health Service in Wales.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for scoping, developing and delivering the project, to agreed time, budget and specification requirements.
• Develop and maintain a business network to support the project.
• Work with Marketing team to develop a stakeholder engagement strategy, and lead its implementation.
• Lead the delivery of a series of project specific events and networking events, to include agreeing themes, speakers, venue, guests, and all follow up activity.
• Support CEO and Commercial Director to position Wales as a strong regional location.
• Report to Program Board on a monthly basis.
• Participate in related bid and grant applications and act as a source of expertise on sources of grant and other funding.
• Deliver coaching and mentoring support to businesses and other stakeholders.
• Ensure all project deliverables and milestones are achieved from start to finish.
• Ensure project reporting and documentations are delivered in line with project requirements to support funding claims, and to capture achievements, outputs and outcomes.
• Engage with the Commercial and Communications teams to ensure project deliverables align with the organisations wider goals and values.
• Identify and engage stakeholders outside including in Welsh Government, NHS, Academia, Industry and other organisations

QUALIFICATIONS
• Exercise project management principles in accordance with Prince2 methodologies.

KNOWLEDGE
• Excellent knowledge of end to end Project management.
• An understanding of the Health and Life Sciences sector would be beneficial.
• An understanding of funding applications and bid writing would be beneficial.
• Business Consultancy.

EXPERIENCE
• Experienced Business consultant.
• Experienced project lead.
• Experienced project manager, able to prioritise multiple conflicting tasks.
• Financial and budgetary experience.
• Bid and grant writing experience for large funding opportunities.
• Experienced in business coaching and mentoring at CEO/board level for SMEs.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
• At least 3 years’ experience of project management, ideally in a commercial heath or social care setting.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good written skills especially in bids and grant applications to interpret requirements and succinctly score highly in such applications and presentations.
• Understanding of the coaching-training continuum and ability to engage as well as make progress during coaching and mentoring engagements.
• The ability to work well under pressure.
• Good people and team management skills.
• Good client management skills.
• Good presentation skills.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Willingness to work flexibly to meet the reasonable needs of the company.
• Ability to speak Welsh would be advantageous.
• Commitment to working in accordance with the company’s values.
• Prepared to work unsocial hours where required.
• Self-sufficient in use of information and communications technology.
• Ability to self-manage a full and varied workload.
• Travel will be required as part of the role, and a valid driving licence and own transport, or be able to provide alternative, suitable method of travel.
