Senior Sales Executive
Full Time, Permanent
£35K+ a company car, company pension and 21 days leave

Reporting into the Commercial Director, the Senior Sales Executive will be responsible for supporting, planning and executing sales activities for our client, in conjunction with their distribution partners in the U.K and Europe. Ensuring the company’s sales and margin grow year on year and in accordance with the Company’s business model.
Duties of the Senior Sales Executive
• Developing strong business relationships with current distributors.
• Identifying business opportunities through working closely with U.K and European distributors, through joint customer visits where required.
• Promoting benefits of the company products through presentations to architects and specifiers.
• Working within the framework of the company’s product training programme, provide technical support to distributors and their customers where required.
• Analysing opportunities by researching the industry and market trends.
• Working closely with operations to ensure correct stock allocation, production timings to meet our customer order requirements.
• Working closely with commercial director and senior marketing manager provide support with trade exhibitions.
• Preparing monthly reports by collecting sales information and statistics.
• Daily use of ERP to include order inputting and invoicing.
• Working in line with the company’s sales strategy, ensure monthly volume targets are being achieved by territory.
• Working closely with all sales and marketing staff to secure targeted customers.
• Close working with Purchasing to ensure continuity of timber feed stock supply against sales order pipeline.
• Continually improve the business relationships with customers, focusing on customer retention and ultimately driving sales growth.
• Working closely with the marketing department. Provide input to ensure effective marketing and provide a competitive advantage.
• Implementing best practice in sales techniques throughout the department.
• Mentoring junior sales team members.

Background of the Senior Sales Executive
• Proven track record of achieving sales growth and delivery of results to business plans.
• Previous account management experience.
• A knowledge of the timber industry, to include cladding, joinery, yacht deck and decking markets is desirable.
• Understanding of customer needs.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Accurate reporting skills both to the BOD and customers.
• Good presenting skills.
• Able to accommodate overseas travel.
• Good understanding of office tools.
