Sales Executive
£30k - £35k dependent on abilities + commission.
Permanent/Full time

The Sales Executive is responsible for generating new business for the company and driving existing key accounts. Duties include researching the market and identifying potential target customers to create business leads, follow up on sales opportunities, establish customer needs and make sales accordingly.
This role will be privy to some confidential and sensitive information and as such, you will be expected to treat all information as sensitive discussing it only with those people who have the necessary authority.

A minimum level of BS (Baseline Standard) clearance is required for this position, but higher levels of clearance would be beneficial (up to a maximum of SC). If the candidate does not have this level of clearance, this will be applied for through the company and employment will be subject to this level of clearance being obtained.

Key Responsibilities

• Create business opportunities by identifying prospective customers and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analysing sales options.
• Sell products and services by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects; recommending solutions.
• Maintains relationships with existing and new clients by providing support, information, and guidance.
• Driving future business growth from existing key accounts.
• Retaining existing business through timely contract renewals.
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organisation standards.
• Focusing the company’s resources on the best opportunities through qualification, bid pursuit and sound opportunity management.
• Maintaining positive customer relations through regular engagement, listening and acting as an advocate across the company.
• Reading the market to inform of the best segments to focus on growth and inform proposition development.
• Maintain company records effectively and in accordance to regulations.
• Support both internal and external customers and strive to go above and beyond in supporting customers.
• Contribute to the customer focused culture in the sales and marketing department.
• Support the Sales & Marketing Department in delivering services that are essential to the success of the company.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures.
• Adherence to Health & Safety, Security & Environmental Compliance Requirements.
• Adherence to ongoing ISO requirements, where they are impacted by sales operations.
• Undertake all reasonable tasks as requested by Commercial Director.

Competency, Training & Awareness:
The candidate must have relevant skills, knowledge and ability within the following areas:

• Proven track record of sales target achievement and consistently hitting business objectives.
• A passion for and track record in finding new customer prospects and closing new opportunities in existing customers.
• An interest and successful track record in business development.
• Ability to generate rapport in new relationships.
• Experience of building strong consultative relationships with contacts
• Experience of building personal and digital networks to nurture new business relationships.
• Experience progressing involved technology sales through structured bid process.
• Commercial knowledge of business & value proposition building.
• 5 + years’ experience in a B2B sales role.
• Degree (preferred).
• MS & CRM Package Proficient.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Willing to travel around the UK, with occasional overseas travel
• GDPR Training
• First Aid/ Fire Marshall qualifications are desirable
• Induction training including Phishing, Equality & Diversity and Anti Bribery Training

The Sales Executive is a pivotal role within the team. Expectations for this role are always high and therefore being able to manage your own workload with a can-do attitude is essential. This is primarily a customer facing role and you are required at all times to present a professional and helpful attitude.
