Assembly Technician
Cardiff (Must have own transport due to location)

Our client is looking for an Assembly Technician for a market leading Electronics Company based in Cardiff, South Wales. Our client designs and manufactures advanced electronic controls that assist people with disabilities to drive.

Tasks:
• Precision soldering and production of electronic parts and sub-assemblies
• Mechanical assembly of steering devices and keypads
• Testing of sub-assemblies and parts using electronic test equipment such as scopes and DVMs
• Final assembly of systems
• Perform calibration, final test and documentation and packing of products.
• Repair of electronic systems to component level
• Use drawings, schematics, electronic assembly equipment and verbal/written instructions to assemble, modify, rework or re-assemble units.
• Carry out tasks that are repetitive in nature with the ability to recognise non-conformity

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
• Requirements
• Surface mount soldering experience with knowledge of analogue and digital circuits
• Good manual dexterity and an eye for fine detail
