Specialist Mortgage Broker
£Competitive Salary

Our client is looking for a Specialist Mortgage Broker who is able to market the company and actively establish a network of mortgage brokers and independent financial advisors, generating customer referrals and driving business revenue by building strong relationships with external business partners, attracting new business whilst working independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete the required amount of new enquiries through canvassing to new and existing financial
• To ensure to hit and maintain agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
• Applying sales principles & techniques to promote and sell company services.
• Develop and maintain relationships with various intermediaries and independent mortgage
• Marketing the firm in a professional manner whilst representing the company at all times.
• Keep up to date with the current market conditions.
• Maintain a competent level of understanding of mainstream lenders underwriting policies and
• Making a high volume of inbound and outbound calls.
• Reading out the relevant initial disclosure scripts to clients.
• Collate application and income details from new clients accurately.
• Adherence to the company’s quality and compliance procedures.
• Positively accept and incorporate QC feedback into personal performance objectives and act upon
to improve sales advice process.
• To provide efficient and effective administration tasks.
• Abide to all regulatory aspects including; MCOB + GDPR and any other regulatory group as
determined by the business.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring to behave in a professional manner whilst
representing the company at all times.
• Act promptly and in an appropriate and courteous manner in response to any customer complaints
in accordance with SMG’s procedures.
• Adhere to all 9 TCF principles and act in the best interest for the customer at all times.
• Identify service issues and/or complaints and escalate where appropriate.
• Be willing to undertake tasks as part of succession planning to work towards becoming a Team

Key Skills and Experience:

• Relevant Education and Qualifications (Mortgage Advice & Practice, Advice Cert).
• Working within a telephone-based customer service role.
• Experience with sales and compliance targets
• Experience in Underwriting.
• Experience of working within an administrative environment and working with computerised data.
• Understanding of data protection legislation.
• Excellent numeracy and communication skills.
• Ability to work to a high level of accuracy.
