Our client is a FinTech start-up with ambitions to become a market leader in their field. Their unique product leverages new banking laws being implemented across Europe in 2020, allowing new payment platforms to compete with the larger payment giants. Their vision is to connect merchants and consumers online, creating a new payment infrastructure that will compete with the likes of Visa and MasterCard.

The first part of their vision is to innovate within the hospitality market, creating a digital connection between merchants and consumers (cafes, restaurants, bars, pubs, clubs etc). Their app will enable customers to access venue promotions and order food, drinks or tickets, for collection or table delivery, with payment made via their own banking integrations.

Their vision for the future is to expand this platform across all industry sectors, speeding up payment systems and enabling real-world assets to be traded between consumers and businesses.

With a unique opportunity to join this ambitious company during its infancy, we are looking for people who are entrepreneurial, hands-on and motivated by the exciting opportunities offered by this quickly growing FinTech start-up. They are seeking candidates who share their ambition and have the drive to grow and develop alongside them, getting ready to step up to the next challenge as their company grows.

•Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be a key member of the leadership team.
•You will be responsible for defining the sales strategy and sales plan and working out the right approach to bring new merchant partners into the business.
•You will be accountable for delivering against agreed targets and enthused by getting hands-on with the target venues and being the first point of contact a venue has.
•The role will initially be focused on the Cardiff region, but as the business grows you will be expected to take the lead on expanding into new territories and help build and manage a sales team.
•You will be expected to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
•You will have excellent organisational skills that make it easy for you to plan and track sales activity, backed up with the determination to succeed and the ability to build enduring relationships with venue partners.
•You will track and report all sales activities, follow up on leads and maintain a customer relations database, identifying additional opportunities.

•Develop a deep and comprehensive understanding of the product so that you are able to represent the product, conduct demos, promote it to prospective customers and handle objections.
•Develop and maintain a sales strategy, plan and process to deliver agreed targets.
•Lead, plan, prioritise and manage sales team activity to ensure effective sales delivery and coordination of sales activity with colleagues (marketing, promotions, finance).
•Identify appropriate prospects, set appointments and make effective qualifying sales calls.
•Generate leads and build relationships, planning and organising your own and team’s daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales opportunities.
•Manage the sales cycle to close new business opportunities.
•Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure exceptional service and identification of potential new sales opportunities.
•Meet weekly, monthly, and annual sales targets through the successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies and tactics.
•Prepare and update sales plans and maintain accurate records of sales activity undertaken.
•Prepare professional, complete, concise and accurate reports, proposals, booking packages, and other documentation as required for executive-level presentations.
•Undertake other reasonable tasks to support the smooth running of the business.

Person Specification:
•You will excel at selling and have 5+ years of sales experience in a service-related industry.
•Your sales skills and ability to build relationships are what we value most, but it would be great if you also had some hospitality experience (bars, restaurants, clubs or cafes) and a good working knowledge of front and back of house hospitality operations including ordering/point of sale.
•You will love hospitality, technology, and mobile applications and be passionate about using the product to transform the hospitality experience for venue owners and their customers.

In return, you’ll be working closely with the CEO, Director of Operations and senior team. You’ll be given the support you need, but will have the freedom and responsibility to shape your future direction and success. Our client shares their office space with other like-minded companies, creating a real entrepreneurial buzz and the perfect environment in which to innovate and succeed.
