Warehouse Supervisor
Bridgend
Temp to perm, 07:00 – 16:30 with 60 min lunch break (Mon-Fri)
£10.26 per hour

Our client in Bridgend is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to assist with running the Operations Department within the company, initially on a temporary basis. You will be responsible for warehousing and distribution, customer service, health & safety, Lean & continuous improvement and facilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Pick and dispatch orders. Assembling MultiBins. Ensure safe, correct loading of boxes & pallets
• Arrange transport for all orders. Book online or by email for customer deliveries and supplier collections
• Receive & check incoming stock (quality & quantity) and put away in warehouse location (Rotating stock)
• Carry out physical rolling stock take
• Product installations at customers and exhibition set up
• Searchability & documentation: Keep meticulous records of where stock is located in the warehouse
• Space optimisation. Find ways to organise for maximum space saving and implement Lean improvements (Fix what bugs you)
• Supervise other warehouse operators
• Negotiate with transport companies and track and reduce costs
• Ensure safety in the workplace at all times – Equipment checks are completed
• Ensure warehouse and yard areas are kept clean and organised. 3S (Sweep, Sort, Standardise)
• Emails, internal meetings

Skills and qualifications required:

• Excellent communication skills and highly competent in Microsoft Office especially Outlook, Word, Excel
• Flexible and able to multi-task with strong organisational skills
• Be a self-starter with high energy and be proactive
• Lean thinking & meticulous tidiness
• Team player
• Forklift Licence is essential.
